RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Tuesday declared the Al-Haram City’s extension illegal.

In an official statement, the RDA said the Al-Haram City extension on Chakri Road is not an approved housing society because it had not been cleared by the authority.

The RDA said legal action is being initiated against the extension under the 2010 Punjab Private Housing Schemes and Land Subdivision Rules, and directed that illegal advertisements be stopped.

The RDA advised the public not to invest in any illegal or unauthorised housing schemes or building projects whose status has been declared illegal by the RDA, warning that they will otherwise be responsible for their losses.
