UPPER DIR: Three women and a child were killed and another minor was injured when a vehicle fell into a ravine in remote Kohistan area of Upper Dir district here on Monday, police said.

They said a non-custom-paid vehicle fell off the road while offloading passengers at a roadside in Siyasan locality.

According to locals and the police, three women identified as Bibi Raheema, Roheena, Yasmeen and child Yusran, were killed on the spot. While another child identified as Aalia was injured in the accident. The injured child was shifted to a hospital in Patrak.

However, official sources said the driver lost control over the vehicle due to which it fell into the gorge.

The residents of Siyasan complained about the dilapidated condition of the road, due to which accidents were happening. They lamented that the elected representatives had not paid any attention towards its repair.
