TAXILA: A three-day anti-polio campaign started in the district of Attock on Monday during which 282,970 children below the age of five would be vaccinated.

Deputy Commissioner Rana Akbar Hayat formally opened the drive by administrating drops to a child at the DHQ hospital. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Health Authority Dr Ibadat Hussain was also present on this occasion.

Dr Hussain said 725 mobile teams, 105 fixed points and 105 roaming teams of allied and tehsil headquarter hospitals were participating in the drive.

He said the vaccination facility would also be available at the DHQ and THQ hospitals, basic health units, rural health centres, railway stations, and bus stands. He asked parents to extend cooperation to the teams so that no child is left out during the campaign.
