COLOMBO: The Pakist­ani food festival, which is part of the Single Country Exhibition, kicked off on Wednesday at the capital’s Galadari Hotel. The exhibition itself will be open to public on Friday (today) and doors to both will remain open till Sunday. Organised by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan in association with the High Commission of Pakistan in Sri Lanka, the festival and exhibition are being held for a third consecutive year following great success in 2016 and 2017. On Friday, the exhibition will be inaugurated by President Maithri­pala Sirisena. The Pakistani high commission said that Sri Lankans will be able to see the “splendid legacy of Pakistan. Free DVDs with documentaries, leaflets, books and other material will be distributed to the public”.
