KHAR: Residents here on Thursday caught a man who was allegedly trying to kidnap a boy in Inayat Kallay Bazaar.

Officials said that a nine-year-old boy Fayyaz, son of Fazalur Rehman and resident of Larkholozo of Mamond tehsil, was passing through the bazaar when two persons in a non-custom paid vehicle tried to kidnap him.

They said that a number of shopkeepers reached the spot when Fayyaz raised a hue and cry.

After questioning the two, the shopkeepers contacted the Levies personnel for help.

On this, both the men attempted to flee from the scene, but one of them was overpowered by the traders.

According to the officials, the arrested person was identified as Zubir Khan who was shifted to an unknown place for interrogation.

They said that proper investigation into the incident had been launched. Later, the boy was handed over to his father in the Inayat Kalley Bazaar.
