KARACHI, May 6: The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board as part of its ongoing drive against defaulters disconnected 136 water connections including that of nine big projects, on Friday.

According to a KWSB press note, out of total 136 lines, 63 lines were disconnected in various projects in the Saddar Town including Regal Trade Center, Chand Bibi Center, Rex Center and Anum Center while the KWSB has also issued 350 notices to defaulters in the Saddar Town.

Meanwhile, taking similar action in the Jamshed Town 73 water supply lines were disconnected in different projects including Prime Avenue, Maheen Centre and Noor Apartment while 672 notices have been issued in the Jamshed Town.

The consumers whose water supply has been disconnected are defaulters of Rs12.994 million.

Meanwhile, KWSB official Suleman Chandio asked the defaulters to pay their dues at the earliest so as to avoid such an action. — PPI
