KARACHI, May 6: A Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) conference was held at Defence Authority Degree College for Women on Friday. Eminent scholars from Karachi University and the college students spoke on various aspects and dimensions of the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

Dr Ahsanul Haq of the KU highlighted the significance and importance of knowledge.

He said the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was the source of knowledge and wisdom and exhorted the Ummah to vigorously pursue the goals of excellence in pursuit of knowledge.

Dr Rehana Firdous said the Holy Prophet (PBUH) had an impeccable and sterling character and was a “Sadiq and Ameen.”

She emphasized that it was not possible to traverse the path leading to Allah without following in the footprints of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Brig (retd) Fayazur Rehman said that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was sent by Allah as a blessing for the entire mankind, a mercy unto the world and as harbinger of hope for humanity.

Earlier, College Principal Dr Tayyaba Mamoon in her inaugural address said the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was a source of inspiration and provided guidance to all mankind in all spheres of life.

She said Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was the epitome of humanity and his life in its entirety provided us the best possible example to emulate in all aspects. — PPI
