KARACHI: Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) Chairperson Ms Naheed Memon on Thursday suggested that businesses not hazardous to the environment be exempted from the no objection certificate (NOC) from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
A notification to this effect will be issued soon after consultation with the quarters concerned, she added.
Sindh government will also establish a business facilitation desk and business registration portal in KCCI, Ms Memon.
The desk will reduce all the registration processes into a single application. Similar desks will also be set up in the Sindh Revenue department and SBI.
The desk initiative has been taken under the “Ease of Doing Business” project supported by the World Bank.
