KOHAT: A boy and a girl were killed by their relatives in the name of honour in Darsamand area of Hangu district on Friday. The double murder took place in the jurisdiction of Doaba police station.

The police said that three accused persons, who had been arrested with the weapon used in the killing, shot dead the victims, both in their teens, after allegedly finding them in an objectionable condition inside the home of the boy.

Soon after the report, the police raided several places and arrested the three accused, who were brothers.

The Doaba police SHO said that the accused had been suspicious about the illicit relationship between the victims and waiting for a chance to find them together. They entered the house of the boy and killed him and the girl with a 30-bore pistol.

The girl had got married three months back with another man.

The police registered cross FIRs on the complaint of the victim boy’s father and the father of the accused, and began further investigations. The victim girl was the resident of Kurram Agency and was living in Darsamand locality of Hangu.
