KOHAT: The district administration on Tuesday sealed 31 clinics of quacks and issued notices to the owners of nine medical stores.

The assistant commissioner checked 14 medical stores in the cantonment and took action against nine. Similarly, additional commissioner Abbas Afridi, Tahir Ali and Sahibzada Samiullah checked clinics and stores in Mustafa and Tirah bazaars and on Hangu Road and sealed 22 clinics of quacks.

On this occasion, deputy commissioner Ilyas Khalid said that nobody would be allowed to play with the lives of the people.

DEMONSTRATION: Speakers from different religious parties have announced to hold a demonstration on Dec 22 near the US consulate in Peshawar to record their protest against President Donald Trump’s decision of declaring Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

They were speaking here on Tuesday at a meeting held in KDA Town under the auspices of Majlis-i-Wahdat (MW) and Albaseera Pakistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The participants included MW provincial president Allama Mohammad Iqbal as chief guest, Milli Yakjehti Council provincial president and Jamaat-i-Islami’s Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, Kohat district JI president Abid Khan, provincial president of JUP Noorul Hasnain, Pakistan Awami Tehreek provincial president Vaqar Ahmed, PML-N’s Liaquat Ali and Albaseera’s Murtaza Abidi.

They said that a protest procession would be arranged from Jinnah Park to the US consulate by all the religious and political parties on Dec 22 against Mr Trump’s decision.
