DADU: A local leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan and 50 party activists announced joining the Pakistan Peoples Party at a programme in Kotri town on Sunday.

MQM-P Kotri chapter leader Mubeen Abbasi and the party workers made the announcement in the presence of adviser to Sindh chief minister Dr Sikandar Shoro.

Besides, a number of influential personalities of the area including Temoor Qureshi, Nafees Abbasi, Mumtaz Khakheli, Sajjad Khaskheli and their supporters also joined PPP at the programme.

Dr Shoro welcomed the newcomers to the party fold and said that PPP was a party of masses and its doors were open to every individual who was ready to serve people.

Jamshoro district council vice chairman Sadiq Shoro, local PPP leaders Majeed Mallah and Ayaz Korejo also spoke at the gathering.
