KARACHI, May 2: Sindh Chief Secretary Mohammed Aslam Sanjrani termed the coal reserves of three fields in Sindh a great asset. He said that the energy to be generated through coal would meet our power requirements abundantly for over 50 years.

The secretary was speaking to the trainee officers from NIPA Peshawar, now on a study tour here, who called on him at his office.

He cited some of these projects as RBOD, K-III additional 100mgd water project, Lyari Expressway and Northern Bypass etc.

Mr Sanjrani pointed out that the Karachi-based federal government departments being stake holders, were also participating in the development of Karachi.—APP
