KARACHI, Oct 20: Supply of Sui gas to residents of Baba Bhitshah island began on Monday.

Initiating the supply to hitherto neglected island, provincial minister Imtiaz Shaikh said the project would benefit over 33,000 residents.

Mr Shaikh said that provision of basic amenities to the residents of these areas, which were neglected by the previous governments, was on top of this government’s priority list.

He also announced to set up a maternity home on the island and declared that fishermen would be given preference in employment.

To a question, Mr Shaikh said that after removal of some legal difficulties the Sindh Democratic Alliance would be formally merged into PML(Q). In this connection, he said Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali would address a special gathering.

He also declared that there were no difference between him, Ghous Bux Mahar and Arbab Rahim.
