SUKKUR: The district president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) and an influential political figure of the Rohri, Kandhra and Salehpat area, Sardar Syed Zahid Hussain Shah, defected to the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday.

The development came just a couple of days before the “power show” organised by the PML-F-led Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA), scheduled for Sunday at Rohri bypass near Sukkur.

Sardar Zahid announced his joining of the PTI after his meeting with party chief Imran Khan along with other senior leaders, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Dr Arif Alvi and others in Bani Gala recently.
