DHAKA: Bangladesh police said on Monday they would deport five Indians caught betting at a weekend cricket match as authorities crack down on illegal bookmaking in the lucrative domestic league.
The men were detained Saturday at Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium during a Bangladesh Premier League match, police said.
They were caught by cricket officials concerned about match-fixing and illegal gambling in the hugely popular league.

Too little, too late. Unfortuntaly, irreparable damages have already been incurred in the ranks and columns of country pertaining to betting and spot-fixing including the entire society at large which will have far reaching consequences for many more years to come.
