Doctors get promotion

PESHAWAR: Following recommendations of the selection committee, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Tuesday announced promotion of many doctors in different departments.

According to a statement, Dr Javaid Hussain (pathology) has been promoted from associate professor to professor, Amir AmanulIah (anatomy) from associate to professor and Dr Kamran Iqbal (ENT) from associate to professor.

Dr Mohammad Ali Shah (orthopaedic) was promoted from associate professor to professor, Dr Naseem Saba (gynaecology) from associate to professor, Dr Jahanzeb Khan (forensic medicine) from assistant to associate professor.

The doctors who were promoted from assistant to associate professor included Dr Sher Zameer (physiology), Dr Sarah Arif (pathology), Dr Iftikhar Ahmad (community medicine), Dr Shah Jehan (biochemistry), Dr Fouzia Ambreen (gynaecology), Dr Arshad Ali (surgery), Dr Akhtar Munir (surgery), Dr Taj Mohammad Khan (medicine), Dr Sajjad Ahmad (pathology), Dr Sadaf Rasheed (anatomy), and Dr Mohammad Ismail (ENT).

Besides, the senor registrars who were made assistant professors include Dr Ali Khan (ENT), Dr Salman Khan (medicine), Dr Shakeel Ahmad (orthopaedic), Dr Mohammad Kamran Khalid (ophthalmology), Dr Amjad Abrar (cardiology), Dr Irum Batool (gynaecology), Dr Hina Ayub (gynaecology), Dr Mohammad Shaukat (neprology), Dr Dastageer Waheed (surgery), Dr Qais Falah (surgery) and Dr Taj Mohammad (peads).
