The legendary batsman and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief selector, Inzamam-ul-Haq, has joined Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Lahore Qalandars as an adviser, read a statement issued on Sunday.
“Inzamam’s vision and experience will be extremely helpful for Qalandars,” read the statement.
Commenting on the development, Lahore Qalandars CEO Atif Rana said that Inzamam is definitely one of the great players who has played this game. “We are excited to have Inzi Bhai on board with us.”
Earlier this year, the Sultan of Swing, Wasim Akram, had joined PSL franchise Multan Sultans as the director of cricket operations — with the aim to light up the cricket circuit in Pakistan with more untapped talent.
Akram, who has been an integral part of various T20 cricket franchises around the world, including past PSL champions Islamabad United, was excited on joining the Sultans and hoped to produce players "capable of competing and excelling."

@Saad Razzaq my friend, Waseem has a skill set that nobody has matched to this day. Freak of nature, down to earth and smiling fellow. He could teach mentoring, bowling and also batting. What is inzamam going to teach you? How to forfeit a match and get run out?

PCB should let him go as chief selector Inzi is damaging his personality by doing this. If you really love cricket you can volunteer some coaching in PCB academy to youngsters instead of working for PSL team and make money. I hope other PSL teams will reaise question on this to PCB and force Inzi to pick either PCB or PSL role.

This is bigconflict of interest. Now Lahor Qalanders players will have more chances same like Imam was given the chance being close relative of Inzimam. They perform or not , its another matter, but this shows how professional conduct of PCB is being carried on. Inzimam should have been disallowed the role by PCB, but it might take many more years for PCB to mature and implement professional policies which infact will give professional players.

Old and new cricketers would be rolling in it. There would be a new class of riches all over the country, owing villas and farm houses. Nepotism and favouriteism would thrive. Imam ul Haque would stand out as a glaring example of this. Generally speaking, the poor and those without connection would be pushed down further. This is no cricket.

@Saad Razzaq I dont see any wrong doing if they are earning money as long as they are sincere and honest to the people and their Profession. It will be good for cricketing greats to stay in their own country and produce fine players. This is happening all over the world.
