KARACHI: The local women pugilists get a boost as a day long National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) Girls Boxing Championship takes place at the bank’s sports complex on Sunday.

This is for the first time that the bank is organising a women’s boxing contest in collaboration with the Karachi Boxing Association aimed at promoting the sport among the womenfolk.

According to an announcement, the organisers have received 80 entries from Lyari and other parts of the city. The bouts will take place from 10am to 5pm.
