The Prang police said SHO Ayub Khan along with constables Shah Hussain and Aakaz came under attack during a routine patrol in Majoki area when they signaled the people suspected of carrying illegal arms to stop their car.

They said the firing killed SHO Ayub Khan and injured two constables, who were shifted to the DHQ Hospital, Charsadda.

The police said the injured were later referred to the Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar, where Shah Hussain breathed his last.
