KARACHI, Aug 17: Bandits either hijacked or stole 115 vehicles — 55 cars and 60 motorcycles — during the past one week in the various parts of the city.

According to police statistics, 26 cars were taken away at gunpoint by bandits and 30 others were stolen in Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Gulistan-i-Jauhar, Gulberg, Clifton, Jamshed Quarters, etc.

Twenty-two motorcycles were hijacked and 38 stolen in Gulberg, New Karachi, Korangi, Landhi, Lyari, North Nazimabad, Nazimabad, Saddar, Gulshan-i-Iqbal and other areas.

Police also claimed to have recovered 65 stolen cars and motorcycles during the past one week.
