KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has expelled MNA Salman Mujahid Baloch from the party.

A statement issued on Friday said that on the recommendation of the organisational disciplinary committee, the basic membership of MNA Baloch had been revoked for committing serious violation of the party discipline. “All workers and office-bearers have been informed that from now on he has no links with the party,” the statement added.

Mr Baloch was elected from NA-239, Keamari, in the 2013 general elections.

A few days ago, a private TV channel had aired the recording of a phone call in which Mr Baloch was heard threatening a local government official with dire consequences and cutting the fuel quota of another official.
