KARACHI, Aug 23: A young labourer died in a road accident in West Wharf on Saturday.

Police said that Mohammad Akmal, 29, died at the berth no 28, inside the port premises.

He was working at the Karachi International Container Terminal (KICT), and was knocked down by a trawler (LSA-3143), when he was busy issuing an entry slip to another vehicle at the berth, the police said.

DIES: A young woman died after falling from the roof of her house in Khawaja Ajmair Nagri on Saturday.

Police said that Shabana, 38, had gone to the roof of her house to dry clothes, when she lost her balance and fell off from the roof.
