SAHIWAL: An anti-terrorism court on Thursday granted bail to an activist of Anjuman-i-Mazaraeen Punjab (AMP), Bail Ganj, against 50,000 surety bonds in a case.

Bashir Ahmed, along with 27 other AMP activists, was booked in various cases, including the one registered under section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) on June 8, 2016.

Bail Gunj Military Farms administration had filed a complaint with Chak Baidian police that the AMP activists had looted wheat and critically injured three farms employee.

The police had booked 28 activists in different criminal cases, including dacoity, attempted murder and 7 ATA​.

Most of the accused had already secured bails.
