Where are the frogs gone?

I am nine years old and I have been collecting fish for as long as I remember. Recently, I developed an interest in amphibians, particularly frogs.

I look for frogs in gardens, parks, ponds and places where there are lots of plants and trees. I don’t find them anywhere that frequently. I don’t understand the reason for their disappearance.

My dad tells me that there used to be frogs everywhere when he was a kid. I wonder where they have gone? I was watching a frog documentary and learned that frogs around the world are dying due to the use of chemicals in farming and diseases.

I wonder if frogs in Pakistan are also dying due to similar reasons? It is time that we do something about this before frogs completely disappear.

Dear readers, can you help me save frogs in Pakistan?

Young World

Young World is a great magazine which is playing an important role in our country. It gives me pleasure to say that I have learnt many things from Young World, through its articles, interesting stories, references, quotes, poems and much more.

YW encourages youngsters to improve their writing and reading skills. Therefore, it is my humble request to the YW team to publish good articles by students, so that they get encouraged.

This delicious recipe compelled me to cook it since it was an easy one, made within 90 seconds. It turned out very yummy and was a great treat for everyone in our family.

I am a big fan of the Young World magazine for its great and informative articles. I eagerly wait for the magazine every Saturday.

I request the Young World team to print easy recipes like this one in future as well.

Wearing it right

This is regarding the story “Wearing it right” by Zainab Rasheed (YW, September 9). This story was interesting and carried a good message.

Beauty is not about having a beautiful face, looks, artificial things and not even about clothes. It is about having a beautiful soul inside, as beauty lies in simplicity. Simplicity is a good quality and we all should adopt this by living a simple life as it provides peace to the mind.
