KARACHI, Aug 21: The city government has decided to take action against petrol pumps and CNG stations operating in the city without lawful permission.

The decision was taken on Thursday at a meeting of the District Petrol Pumps Committee held here under the chairmanship of DCO Mir Hussain Ali.

The meeting decided to undertake a survey of all such fuel stations to ascertain their actual number and collect the related details for suggesting any action. The survey report would be submitted in the next meeting of the committee.

The committee accorded approval for setting up six new CNG stations and petrol pumps in Korangi, Federal B. Area, North Karachi, SITE and the Superhighway.
