ASHGABAT (Turkmenistan): Ambreen Masih earned a third bronze medal in the wrestling competition at the fifth Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games on Friday to take Pakistan’s medal haul up to 20.

Having a bye in the first round, Ambreen lost 6-2 to Turkmenistan’s Zarina Abdyrahmannovwa in the -60kg weight category of the alysh freestyle event to become the first female athlete from the country to grab three medals, having earlier ended with a bronze in traditional and classic freestyle wrestling events.

Over in the pool, Pakistan had a poor outing with the four female and male swimmers with most of them finishing in sixth and seventh positions in their respective heats.
