KARACHI: The Sindh Golf Association (SGA) has received a record 237 entries for the eighth SGA Cup which teed off at the Defence Authority Country and Golf Club (DACGC) on Friday.
The opening day of the three-day event saw 30 veterans vying for the honours in the nine hole contest.
The 36-holes amateurs and senior amateurs will tee off at 7.30am on Saturday.
According to SGA president Asad I. A. Khan, 67 amateurs and 58 senior amateurs have entered the fray.
The juniors, junior masters and ladies events will be played over 18 holes concurrently on Saturday. The break-up of three categories includes 14 ladies, 32 junior masters and 11 juniors.
The SGA president said that the main event will be decided on net scores.
