KARACHI: The Pakistan Herald Publications (Dawn website) won two awards at the prestigious World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) South Asian Digital Media Awards 2017.

The association announced winners at the WAN-IFRA India conference in Chennai on Wednesday.

The media group’s digital publication Dawn.com won the silver and bronze titles in the Best Data Visualisation category for its reports ‘Banned outfits in Pakistan openly operate in Facebook’ and ‘A Pakistani woman’s workplace dilemma’.

The gold title in the same category was awarded to Indian publication, The Quint, for its report ‘Ganga clean up’.

The Jang Media Group, was another media outlet from Pakistan to win the silver title in the Best Innovation New Product category for it’s recently launched ‘Jang Real’ mobile app.
