KARACHI, Aug 19: Sindh Assembly Speaker Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah on Tuesday took the oath as the Acting Governor of the province in the absence of Governor Ishratul Ibad who has proceeded to Saudi Arabia to perform Umra.

Chief Justice of Sindh High Court Mr Justice Syed Sayeed Ashhad administered the oath to Muzaffar Hussain Shah at a simple ceremony held at the Governor’s House this morning. Chief Minister Sardar Ali Mohammad Mahar was also present.

Provincial ministers Irfanullah Marwat, Rauf Siddiqui, Nadir Akmal Leghari, adviser to the chief minister Salahuddin Haider, chief secretary Dr Mutawakal Qazi, home secretary Syed Anwar Haider, information secretary Mrs Mahtab Rashdi, health secretary Ashiq Hussain Memon, culture and tourism secretary Gul Mohammad Umrani, Nara director-general Saleem Khan and other high officials attended the ceremony.
