TAXILA: As many as four people have lost their lives in different incidents in various parts of Attock district during Eid days.

Two people riding on a motorcycle died during a head on collision with a passenger van on Fatehjang- Jand road near Jaffar village.

Police and hospital sources said Imran Latif and Ghulam Hussain residents of Kot Chhaji were going to see their friends on second day of Eid when the accident took place.

They were taken to local hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.

In the second incident, a man died and two others were injured in a mudslide in Nara village in union council of Jand.

Police and hospital sources said that Tariq Khan, Saif Iqbal and Mujahid Ali were watching a cricket match near a mud hill when it caved in as a result all of them trapped in the mud.

Later local people retrieved them but Tariq Khan was found dead.

Moreover, a man identified as Jamshed Iqbal went to a pond in Pindigheb to beat the heat where he drowned.
