KARACHI: A 10-year-old boy was kidnapped, murdered and subjected to criminal assault and his body was thrown in a street outside the City Courts on Friday morning, the police and hospital officials said.

They added that the body was found outside the City Courts, which was taken to the Civil Hospital Karachi for a post-mortem examination.

Additional police surgeon of the CHK Dr Qarar Ahmed Abbasi told Dawn that the boy was strangled to death as there were bruises on his neck. He was also subjected to assault before being murdered, added Dr Abbasi.

City Courts police official Mohammed Yasir said that unidentified suspects had killed the boy somewhere and later on threw his body wrapped in clothes outside the courts. The officer said the boy’s identity could not be ascertained immediately.
