SUKKUR: In an operation launched against illegal health practices, a team of the health department Ghotki under supervision of a civil judge sealed six clinics/hospitals, three laboratories and two medical stores on Tuesday in Khanpur Mahar.

During the raid, panic prevailed among quacks and many locked their clinics and fled.

According to reports, the team comprised of Sukkur focal person Abdul Rehman Shaikh, Taluka Hospital Shaikh Hamadan Bin Mohammad Medical Superintendent Dr Fayyaz Rajput, Drug Inspector Bilawal along with police contingents. Family Court Ghotki Civil Judge Mohammad Saleem supervised the action.

The team sealed clinics of quacks Raj Kumar, M. Nawaz, M. Rizwan and others while Al-Sadaat Laboratory, Sindh Laboratory, Ghotki Pathological laboratory were also sealed.

Honey Medical Store and Santosh Medical Store were also sealed.
