RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) arrested several people in different parts of the country for allegedly supplying drugs to students and recovered Rs7 million worth of drugs from them.

The recovered drugs included 6.3 kilograms of hashish and 26 grams of Ice, said a press release issued by the ANF on Friday.

The ANF personnel intercepted a motorcycle near Judicial Colony, Gulzar-i-Quaid, Rawalpindi, and arrested Muhammad Shahbaz, Naveed Iqbal and Raja Muhammad Dawar and reportedly seized 450 grams of hashish from their possession. The suspects were supplying drugs to students of the Capital University of Science and Technology and Roots School System, Rawalpindi, it said.

The ANF Rawalpindi arrested Naseer Khan of Attock and recovered 250 grams of hashish. The ANF claimed that Khan was involved in supplying drugs to students of different academic institutions.

The ANF Lahore office said its staff recovered 130 grams of hashish from Mazhar Hussain, a resident of Faisalabad. Hussain has been accused of supplying drugs to students.

During another operation in Faisalabad, the ANF recovered 150 grams of hashish allegedly from Mahmood Ahmed, a resident of Faisalabad, from Gate No 2, Agricultural University. He was allegedly supplying drugs to students of educational institutions in the city.

The ANF also arrested Muhammad Ahmed near University of Management and Technology, Faisal Garden, Lahore, and recovered 250 grams of hashish.

Muhammad Ijaz of Lahore was arrested for allegedly supplying drugs to students of educational institutions. At least 125 grams of hashish was recovered from him.

Drugs were seized and suspects arrested in various other operations as well.
