CHAKWAL: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan will inaugurate his party membership campaign from Chakwal on Aug 29.

According to an announcement made by the local chapter of PTI on Wednesday, Mr Khan will be received by local leaders and party workers at Balkassar Interchange and he will be taken to Chakwal city in a rally.

“After reaching Chakwal city, Imran Khan will address a public meeting,” Ch Ali Nasir Bhatti, the district general secretary of the party told Dawn.

After a brief address to the workers Mr. Khan formerly inaugurate membership campaign.

“New member will be given a computerised membership card,” Mr. Bhatti said. He added that initially the membership campaign was going to be launched in four districts including Chakwal, Jhelum, Attock and Sargodha. After which the campaign would be spread across the country.

“PTI has emerged as a potential force in Chakwal district as scores of village heads and notables of the district have joined the party. This is really a great honour for us as the party has selected Chakwal to launch the membership campaign,” Mr Bhatti maintained.
