KHUZDAR: Two persons died and seven others, including five schoolgirls, suffered injuries when the roof of a hotel and a classroom collapsed in Hub on Wednesday.
“A portion of the hotel roof caved in when people were enjoying tea there,” senior police official Zia Mandokhel told Dawn.
The bodies and the injured were retrieved from debris and shifted to Jam Ghulam Qadir Government Hospital.
Those who died in the incident were identified as Mohammad Aachar and Sanaullah. Two others were injured.
In another incident of roof collapse, five girl students were injured in Sakran area.
Police said that the roof of a classroom of Government Girls Modal School collapsed, causing injuries to five students. The district education officer of Lasbela has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
