PPP MPA Ghulam Murtaza Baloch's son was kidnapped from Karachi's Gadap Town area on gun-point by unknown suspects on Tuesday, police said.
The MPA's son, Hayat, was abducted from near the Baqai Medical Hospital in Gadap Town, police added.
According to Baloch's family members, the unknown abductors had first kidnapped all individuals who were travelling in a car with Hayat.
However, they later stopped the car and let everyone except Hayat go. The suspects also took the car that Hayat was riding in, family members said.
The Anti-Violent Crime Cell and the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee have began investigations into the incident after Hayat's family members filed a case, police said.

I was over cautious when visited Karachi & Lahore during 7th to 20th Aug trip. It was very painful to be afraid in my own country which was not so when flew out in 76 but regretfully since then law and order situation deteriorated to the extent that I am scared to death though miles off from Pakistan. I did not take any taxi but was driven by my cousins or sit inside the house cursing to be in Pakistan. Just for those who may not know I would like to mention that here in Kuwait even girls alone what to talk of men driving throughout the night and none is robbed or attacked which is not even thinkable in Pakistan. Here PPP MPA son is abducted but will be recovered as Sindh is governed by PPP but what about an ordinary Pakistani abducted who has neither the sources nor resources to meet the meet the demand of the abductors? @Iqbal Hadi Zaidi the scenario potryed by you did exist 4 to 5 years before. Now things have improved considerably and are not as bad and people are leading normal life going about places even at 2 - 3 am. Enjoy your stay in Kaeachi. Good Luck
