Star’s rep said Duff was ‘thankful’ no one was hurt when her Beverly Hills house was reportedly robbed of hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of jewellery.

“This is a scary and upsetting situation for anyone to go through, but Hilary is thankful that her family, staff, home and pets are all safe,” the rep told.

“That said, she has a significant security team in place that will work with the authorities on this incident and handle security measures moving forward,” the rep qualified.

Miley Cyrus announces new album

Miley Cyrus made the announcement of her new album on her website alongside a photo of the album’s title appearing on the back of a black leather jacket.

Younger Now will include recent singles “Malibu” and “Inspired” which feature a more positive, folk-infused sound when compared to her last proper album release, 2013’s hip-hop inspired Bangerz. Cyrus released her fifth album, an experimental and psychedelic collaboration with the Flaming Lips titled Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz in 2015.

“I’m giving the world a hug and saying, ‘Hey, look. We’re good — I love you.’ And I hope you can say you love me back,” the 24-year-old told.

Nicklodeon launches entertainment lab

Nickelodeon launches new Burbank-based Nickelodeon Entertainment Lab.

The forward-looking initiative will invest financial resources into research and development of new technologies and platforms that could eventually have an effect on the content that the studio’s artists create and how children experience Nick content.

Some of the “long-range” areas that are currently being investigated at Nick include real-time rendering, virtual cinema, virtual reality, augmented and mixed reality, and artificial intelligence. The resulting innovations will extend beyond broadcast, and could be applied to Nickelodeon’s businesses in live-action films, gaming, and theme parks.
