LARKANA: The University of Sindh, Jamshoro, and the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU), Larkana, have agreed to jointly launch online courses of Chinese language.

This was decided at a meeting of the universities’ vice chancellors, Prof Dr Fateh Mohammad Burfat and Prof Dr Ghulam Asghar Channa, here on Thursday, said a press release issued by SMBBMU’s media coordinator.

The programme was being initiated for its usefulness in view of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project. The universities would ink a memorandum of understanding to not only expedite the Chinese project but also the University of Sindh would offer PhD facilities in the disciplines of biochemistry, health sciences and other health-related subjects to the SMBBMU, he said.
