KARACHI: Lady luck smiled on local golfer Vivek Anand when he shot a Hole-in-One on blue four in the first round of the UMA 22nd CNS Open Golf Champ­ionship at the Karachi Golf Club to win a brand new Toyotta Fortuner.

The golfer, who is under-18 and plays for the DHA Golf Club, was elated on his feat that earned him the grand vehicle.

The incumbent Chief Operating Officer retired Cdre Ghazanfar Abbas accompanied by his predecessor retired Cdre Zafar Mahmood were the first to reach at blue four to congratulate the promising golfer for his heroics.

Anand started receiving felicitations from all and sundry at the course the moment he returned after completing the round.

Meanwhile, Suzuki Ciaz awaits golfers for the second Hole-in-One of the ongoing competition.
