KARACHI: All-rounder Naveed Al-Amin starred with a seven-wicket haul while Abdul Rehman struck a sparkling century as Metropolitan CC thrashed Qasba Sports by 117 runs in the KCCA Zone-VI Daud Khan Memorial Cricket Tournament here on Tuesday.

Batting first at the Afza Cricket Ground, Metropolitan CC posted 250-6 in their 35 overs with Rehman, younger brother of Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed, striking 104, a dazzling studded with 12 boundaries and two sixes.

Naveed then picked up seven wickets for 23 runs as Qasba Sports mustered 133 all out in 22.2 overs. Meanwhile, former Pakistan Under-19 all-rounder Hasan Mohsin grabbed five wickets for 20 runs while helping Alamgir Gymkhana outgunned Hyderi Sports in a low-scoring fixture at the KCCA Stadium.

Opener Usman khan smashed a quickfire 51 off just 18 balls (five sixes and two fours) as Alamgir Gymkhana reached their modest target of 76 in 6.4 overs.
