BADIN: Policemen, members of civil society, general public and social activists took out rallies in Sindh towns on Friday to mark Youm-i-Shuhada of police.

In Badin, a large number of policemen and social activists participated in a rally, which was led by SSP Abdul Qayyoom Pitafi, chairman of district council Ali Asghar Halepoto and Pakistan Peoples Party leaders who paid glowing tribute to the policemen who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

MITHI: Policemen, members of civil society and activists of political parties took out a rally from SSP office to Kashmir Chowk to mark the police martyrs’ day.

DC Dr Abdul Hafeez Sial, SSP Ameer Saud Magsi and PPP leaders who led the rally paid tribute to all martyrs of police and said that every Pakistani was proud of their supreme sacrifices.

MIRPURKHAS: Quran Khwani and walk were organised to pay respects to martyred policemen on the occasion of police martyrs’ day.

DIG Javed Alam Odho and SSP Kamran Nawaz Panjotha said at a special ceremony that martyred policemen played a vital role in maintenance of peace and tranquillity in the country.

They said that August 4 was declared martyrs’ day so that the society remembered great sacrifices of policemen.
