LAHORE: Pakistan roared back to beat Hong Kong 3-2 to register their second win at the Asian Volleyball Championship in Surabaya, Indonesia.

According to the results released by the Pakistan Volleyball Federation here on Thursday, Pakistan, initially fielding an inexperienced line-up, lost the first two sets 21-25, 22-25. However, Pakistan staged a brilliant comeback winning three sets 25-20, 25-21, 15-9.

Aimal Khan, Pakistan’s ace player, could not feature in the match due to illness. Furthermore, Pakistan initially in the match fielded Fahad, a young player. Later, Naseer, the Pakistan captain, replaced Fahad in the match and that made the difference.

In their first match, Pakistan had defeated Iran.
