LAHORE: The Counter-Terrorism Department arrested on Tuesday two members of banned militant organisation Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on Walton Road, according to a press release issued by the CTD.

Grenades were recovered from the militants, identified as Ali Noor and Sartaj Khan. They were members of the Jamat-ul-Ahrar, the splinter group of the TTP.

The spokesperson for the CTD said that these arrests were not linked to the Ferozpur Road blast.

He said the militants were preparing to launch an attack on personnel of law enforcement agencies in the next week.
