LANDI KOTAL: Two Frontier Corps personnel were critically injured in a blast in Bara subdivision of Khyber Agency here on Sunday.

Security officials said an improvised explosive device planted near a water tanker of FC was detonated with a remote control when the FC men were busy filling their tanker in Malakdin Khel area.

They said two personnel were injured in the blast with water tanker also partially damaged.

The injured men were rushed to a nearby hospital and later shifted to CMH Peshawar in precarious condition.

Meanwhile, relatives of a teenaged boy held a demonstration in Landi Kotal and blocked the Torkham road at Charwazgai chowk after the boy was killed in a shootout between rival families over a land dispute in Khuga Khel area early on Sunday morning.

Khasadars had to resort to baton charge to clear the road and forced the relatives of the deceased boy to remove his body from the road.

The agitating tribesmen demanded arrest of the people involved in the killing of the boy.
