Nawaz Sharif will land in Adiala Jail after Panamagate verdict: Imran Khan

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will land in Adiala jail as an outcome of the Panamagate hearing in the Supreme Court (SC).

Addressing a workers convention in Islamabad on Sunday, the PTI leader warned PM Sharif of the possibility of landing behind bars. "You will not go to Jeddah, but to Adiala jail," said Khan, referring to Nawaz Sharif's exile in 1999 after his government was toppled by the then Gen Pervez Musharraf.

Khan vowed to "either celebrate victory in Islamabad or take to the streets against the PML-N leadership" after the apex court decides the Panamagate case, which is set to resume on Monday.

He accused the PML-N of planning to attack the SC if the outcome of Panamagate case was against the Sharifs. He warned PM Sharif against any such attempt and said that the entire nation would stand with the apex court.

PML-N has destroyed the parliament as well as all other institutions, said Khan, adding, "All except the apex court and the army".

He lauded the joint investigation team (JIT) for exposing the contradictions and lies of the PML-N's leadership.

The JIT did an outstanding job because it was under the SC, he said.

He asked the PML-N workers to stop supporting their leaders for the sake of the future generations and the country.

Based on the solid evidence presented in the JIT report, it looks certain that Nawaz Shareef and his family will be disqualified and hopefully will end up in jail for fraud and dishonesty charges. Let's wait for SC' s decision!

Amazing..I'm not a PMl N member but tell me what exactly will happen if NS is removed? Will he be replaced by Salahuddin Ayubi in the next elections? Look at Imran''s right left front and back and ask yourself honestly without getting emotional what will this team deliver to the nation ? Removing people will not make anything better. Do the best with what you have and try to bring change starting with yourself. IK could have achieved so much from where he is but he purposely chose to pursue an approach solely to become Prime Minter.

Please Mr IK, let the court decide. Hope you remember the SC verdict on former PM Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani, he was just given custody punishment till rising of court. PMs are awarded custody like this, not like you says, we may have opposition to PM, we my have differences of opinions, The embrassement PM NS facing currently is itself a punishment and painful, if he resigns it's OK.

No doubt accountability is must in any financial institutions but for government I wish we had right from our independence. We are in this situation as we had no leader asking truth and fairness and I still believe that we have no genuine person to lead us as most of them are corrupt and looking for a chance to be in the government. The viable and pragmatic approach keeping security of Pakistan in mind is to enact changes in government in a methodical way. Personal likes and dislikes must not come into play.

JIT did not prove any corruption. It's just that the money trail to buy the properties is not verified as per JIT, which they did not interview the main witness purposely. Mr khan, why have you been avoiding the clarifications to ECP about your assets and foreign assistance to your party for the last 2 years. People cannot afford to pay electricity bill for a 10 Marla small house. You are living in an estate of hundreds of kanaka. Where are the expenses coming from without you have any business?

Khan has figured out that the only way he can come to power in this country is to appeal to the real powers that be, and we know who they are. He is just another pawn in the power game, who even though he has figured out the path to power, has yet to figure out that were he to land in the office of prime minister, he will face similar predicaments because the real powers want to keep all institutions of this country other than one, weak and subservient, using whatever means necessary will not under any circumstance relinquish their hold on what is done in the country and what remains undone.

Why won't he talk about policy matters? Let say if Mr., Sharif is replaced. Then what. Country still has huge issues such as electric shortages. Natural gas need to be brought to consumer from new found reserves, cpec, India, Afghanistan, American relationship, poverty, education and many more.

Let us all look towards SC of Pakistan. If IH is so sure then my advice: Start from KP. Follow it with GB,AK, Punjab, and Baluchistan. Go to every district with respective leaders. The distance should be small. It Should Be Symbolic with decent Slogan," NIA PAKISTAN- MUBARACK HO". It will be an announcement of what you had tried to achieve; a CORRUPTION FREE PAKISTAN.
