PARACHINAR: General Officer Commanding (GOC) Maj-Gen Hassan Asghar Hayat has said that an army public school will be established in Sadda, the tehsil headquarters of lower Kurram Agency.

He made the announcement during a visit to lower and central division of Kurram Agency on Monday, where he met elders of the area. He said that establishment of army public school was need of the hour to provide quality education to children.

Gen Hayat said that construction of the school would be started soon. He said that construction of important roads, including 50-kilometre Parachinar-Said Karam and 40-kilometre Kot Miran-Touday Obbe roads would also be started soon. Around 70 elders assured full support to the GOC in maintenance of law and order situation in the tribal agency. They also welcomed announcement of establishing APS in the area.
