Skardu road

Published July 7, 2017

Gilgit-Baltistan is a paradise for tourists to see high mountains and beautiful lakes. There are peaks for those who want to scale them.

But the poor condition of Skardu road is the main hurdle. The pathway to Siachen and the gateway to GB’s prosperity has been delayed by certain elements in the GB government.

The mega project of road construction was approved but it is still in cold storage. This delay is causing frustration among the GB people. This may harm peace in the area.

I ask the federal government to intervene and resolve this sensitive issue which is not only important for the people of GB and but also for defence.
