LAHORE: The international powers, which brought Nawaz Sharif to power with a certain agenda, will not let anything happen to him, claims Pakistan Awami Tehreek Chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri.

Talking to overseas organisational heads in London on Tuesday, he said accusations of international conspiracy against Nawaz Sharif and a hue and cry on JIT were just an eyewash in a scripted scene.

He said Nawaz Sharif did not come into power rather he was brought into power by certain neighbouring and other countries with a heavy investment and the people should keep the fact in mind.

Qadri said the Model Town case did not dent pride of the Sharifs. The Model Town killings were state-sponsored. “Now the justice system of the country is protecting the killers.”

He hoped an early end to the darkness of injustice and said the Model Town victims would eventually get justice.

Meanwhile, PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said the accused SP in the case was bailed out first and then appointed on a key position. “It is being feared that another key accused would also get bail.”

The ATC has put off proceedings of the Model Town tragedy till Aug 3 due to vacation.
