My father’s love

This is with reference to the story “My father’s love” by Iman Ashraf (YW, June 17). We kids often forget how much our parents love us and we often disrespect them.

Their never-dying love is incomparable to anyone and no matter how badly we behave, they remain caring and loving towards us. In the story, the girl thought her dad didn’t understand her, however, her dad was too concerned about her well-being and had a good reason for not letting her go out.

So when she learns about it, she feels ashamed of her attitude.

It was a great story and reminder of the importance of a father in a child’s life.

The story “My father’s love” by Iman Ashraf (YW, June 17) made my day. It was very nicely written with true emotions that I often experience when my dad scolds me for anything and my response is usually similar to the girl’s in the story. But it also brought tears to my eyes when I realised what makes a father so caring and concerned about his children.

I request everyone to always respect their parents and care for them as much as they can.

If they scold you for something, take it lightly and remember they love you more than anyone else in the world so they must have a good reason behind it.

Wonder crafts

This is regarding the “Father’s Day card” in wonder crafts by Asif Ali (YW, June 10). It was very easy and I made in just half an hour because I had all the things in home.

When I presented it to my father, he was so delighted. I am so happy that I could bring a smile to my father’s face for something I made for him myself.

I want to request the writer to create more crafts like this and also include the time a craft takes in making it.

Vacation phobia

This is with reference to the article “Vacation phobia” by Madiha Maqsood (YW, June 10).

The article was so touching that I felt someone had poured my feelings out on the paper. I am thankful to the writer for sharing her opinion about vacations. Not all kids get the opportunities to enjoy their vacations. Summer vacation is long and they come in the hottest period of the year in which we usually feel drenched and irritated.

Therefore, I also eagerly wait for schools to commence so that I can have my routine back and meet my friends again.
