NRL begins Euro II HSD production

KARACHI: National Refinery (NRL) has said its diesel hydro desulphurisation (DHDS) and auxiliary units have commenced operations which enabled the refinery to comply with the government directives to produce high speed diesel meeting low sulphur (500ppm) Euro-II specifications.

In a notice to Pakistan Stock Exchange on Wednesday, the refinery said the DHDS plant has a potential to reduce sulphur content to a value as low as 10ppm.—Staff Reporter

Nauman Ansari to be CEO of Bank Alfalah

ABU DHABI: The board of directors of Bank Alfalah Ltd has announced the resignation of Atif Bajwa as the bank’s president and CEO, according to a press release issued on Wednesday.

Nauman Ansari, formerly the CEO of Faysal Bank, has been appointed as his successor. Mr Bajwa, who held the office for more than five years, will be stepping down for personal reasons.

The appointment of Mr Ansari, who has served various banks during his 24-year professional career, is subject to legal and regulatory approvals.

Atlas Battery approves plant expansion

KARACHI: The board of directors of Atlas Battery in their meeting on Wednesday approved the annual budget of the company for 2017-18. They also approved capital expenditure of

Rs1.42 billion for expansion of production capacity, the company notified to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

Oppo eyes world market
